It's day 6 of our year-in-review. Its June! After six months of retail preparations and sales, we were ready to make a formal and official opening. So on June 13th, we had a new Patron to GO: His Excellency Lieutenant-Governor Richard Cripwell, CBE, whom we thanked for taking the time to formally open our Southside facilities.
This month, we held our inaugural auction at the new location, attracting funds from 50 bidders through pre-bids and bidders on the day of the event. Ultimately, we achieved an impressive sum of over £1800, which will significantly support our ongoing projects and initiatives.
Later in the month, we participated in the Government House Charities Fete. Blessed with excellent weather and a positive atmosphere, staff and volunteers had a fantastic day engaging with the public and discussing all the hard work GO does behind the scenes to assist those in need with employment and training support.
