2024 YEAR IN REVIEW - We started September with an ambitious goal: to meticulously plan our next Auction, which we envisioned as a grand event attracting many bidders and participants. However, as we delved deeper into our preparations, we quickly recognised the challenges ahead. With various promotions for Schools, Halloween, and Christmas looming on the horizon, it became increasingly clear that our available space would not be sufficient to accommodate our usual large-scale auction setup. We found ourselves needing to rethink our strategy.
In light of these considerations, we made the strategic decision to amend our original plan. Instead of a large auction, we opted to explore the idea of hosting smaller, more manageable ones that could still provide exciting lot items and engagement with bidders. Thus, the concept of mini-auctions was born! These mini-auctions allowed us to streamline the task, utilise our space more effectively with a small area near the main till, yet still offer a platform for bidding without the extensive demands of a full-scale auction.
The shift to mini-auctions sounds like a smart and adaptable strategy! It would be great to share the mini hints on how bidders can maximize their chances of winning or what types of items typically make these auctions exciting. Insights like these could build even more anticipation!
